Christopher Francis Myers, Executive Chef at Fresco, calls himself a "lifer." He's been in the restaurant industry for all of his working years, and he couldn't be more delighted with it. "I started in 2000 at a Steak Escape in Orlando, and I've never looked back," he says. "The restaurant industry abducted me, and I've been happily brainwashed ever since!" A great fan of his co-workers, Christopher describes them as "a secret society but more fun." "Their capability and kindness never cease to amaze me," he says. "Restaurant people combine the best qualities of gracious hospitality, obsessive professionalism, creativity, and evil genius." After Steak Escape, Christopher moved on to work in various coffee shops and casual dining establishments. It became clear that he was serious about food, and so he enrolled in culinary school and picked up positions in fine dining. Originally a Madisonian, Christopher has lived in several states but moved back to Wisconsin with his family in 2012 and began working with Food Fight shortly afterward - first as a lead line cook, then a Chef de Cuisine, and finally as an Executive Chef. In his free time, Christopher loves hanging out with his kids. In fact, he names the 40 percent discount at Tex Tubb's Taco Palace as the best thing about working for Food Fight, since his kids love it so much. "I always look forward to my day off with the kids," he says. "I do a music class with them. You should see my Virginia Reel!"
